Final Exam What have I learned about Sociology? I learned that sociology exists all around us. I got a glimpse into the struggles other people may endure and how we can look at it through a different lens. Five ideas that stood out to me are culture, and how values and norms (3)affect our society. Another concept that I found interesting was the looking-glass self, (4)which was developed by Charles Horton Cooley(1864-1929). In Chapter 8, prejudice, stereotypes and discrimination stood out to me.
